About the Opportunity
Are you a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist looking to make a meaningful impact in a school setting? We're excited to welcome an SLP to a supportive school team in Anoka County, MN
, where you'll work alongside educators, families, and special education professionals to help students strengthen their communication skills and reach their full potential. In this role, you'll provide individualized and small-group therapy, participate in IEP planning, and create engaging, evidence-based interventions that support both academic and social success.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations for elementary students with a variety of communication needs.
- Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based therapy plans aligned with each student's IEP goals.
- Provide engaging individual and small-group speech-language therapy, including services for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
- Support and implement augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems, including programming devices, modeling use, and collaborating with staff and families to promote successful communication.
- Partner with teachers, special education staff, occupational therapists, psychologists, and families to foster student growth across educational settings.
- Participate in IEP meetings by contributing evaluation findings, progress updates, and recommendations for appropriate speech-language services and accommodations.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) SLP license or eligibility
- Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility
- School-based experience preferred
- Comfort supporting diverse, multilingual student populations
- Clinical Fellows welcome
