Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with acute care experience to provide comprehensive speech and swallowing therapy in a hospital setting. The clinician will evaluate and treat patients with bedside swallow assessments and other communication disorders.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct bedside swallow evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Perform speech and language assessments to diagnose communication and neurological disorders.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
• Provide education and training to patients and families regarding speech and swallowing therapies.
• Manage a caseload efficiently while adhering to hospital protocols and safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Minnesota Speech Language Pathologist license.
• Possess at least 1 year of relevant acute care experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in bedside swallow evaluations.
• Experience with video fluoroscopy swallow evaluations is preferred.
• Be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills required.
