Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Seeking a qualified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with acute care experience to provide comprehensive speech and swallowing therapy in a hospital setting. The clinician will evaluate and treat patients with bedside swallow assessments and other communication disorders.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct bedside swallow evaluations and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Perform speech and language assessments to diagnose communication and neurological disorders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
- Provide education and training to patients and families regarding speech and swallowing therapies.
- Manage a caseload efficiently while adhering to hospital protocols and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Hold an active Minnesota Speech Language Pathologist license.
- Possess at least 1 year of relevant acute care experience.
- Demonstrate proficiency in bedside swallow evaluations.
- Experience with video fluoroscopy swallow evaluations is preferred.
- Be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills required.
