American Traveler is hiring an MFM Diagnostic Sonographer with 2+ years of experience and RVT plus ARDMS credentials in Abdomen, OB/GYN, Pediatric, or MSK for a Maternal Fetal Medicine role.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Diagnostic Sonographer required
- Prior travel experience required
- BLS certification required
- RVT certification required
- ARDMS credential in Abdomen, OB/GYN, Pediatric, or MSK required, with multiple ARDMS specialties preferred
- License required if applicable
- Completion of a two-year Allied Health education program or Associate of Applied Science degree from an accredited ultrasound program, or a bachelor s degree, required
- Vascular experience required, including arterial ultrasounds of bypass grafts and stents
- Epic charting experience required
Responsibilities
- Position based between an acute care hospital and an outpatient clinic setting, with floating required between both sister facilities
- Maternal Fetal Medicine unit supporting high-risk OB, obstetrics, and general ultrasound patient population
- Daily caseload of approximately 45 visits per tech
- 4x8 hour day shifts, approximately 32 hours per week with varied start times between 7:00-7:30 AM and end times between 3:30-4:00 PM
- Weekend coverage required approximately once every 4 to 6 weeks
- No on-call requirement
- Uses Epic for charting
- Uses GE ultrasound equipment and PACS system
- Performs vascular studies including arterial mapping, carotid, duplex, Doppler studies, and arterial/venous studies of upper and lower extremities
- Performs OB/GYN imaging including 1st and 2nd trimester studies
- Performs general ultrasound imaging including abdominal aorta, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, spleen, and pediatric abdomen/pelvis
- May assist with procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, and ultrasound-guided biopsy/fine needle aspiration
- Candidates must not live within 50 miles of either facility location
- Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler
- Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO during the first 2 weeks of the assignment; all time off requests must be disclosed at the time of consideration
- Holiday coverage required as needed by the facility
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
- Scrub colors vary by role and facility per facility profile
- Candidates requesting medical or religious vaccine exemptions must provide appropriate documentation for consideration
