Join our Hospital Emergency Trauma Center as a Patient Access Assistant
, where you'll play a critical role in creating a welcoming and supportive experience for patients and their families during some of their most important healthcare moments. As the first point of contact, you'll greet patients, coordinate registration activities, and ensure accurate collection of information needed to support quality care and billing processes.

This fast-paced role requires strong judgment, attention to detail, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with a dedicated healthcare team.

Schedule

  • Full-Time | 72 Hours Every Two Weeks
  • Three 12-hour shifts per week
    • 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
    • Every fourth weekend rotation

Pay and Benefits (Total Rewards):

  • $22.85+ per hour, however, we pay more for experience.
    • +$3.00 per hour "night" shift differential between 11p & 7a.
    • +$1.05 per hour on weekends
  • Full Pay Spectrum for this position: $19.91 - $30.47/hour.

What You’ll Do

  • Welcome and register patients in the Emergency Trauma Center
  • Verify demographic, insurance, and billing information
  • Ensure accurate patient account creation and documentation
  • Assist patients and families with questions and registration needs
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with healthcare regulations
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support efficient patient flow
  • Provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications
:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • One to two years of post-high school training in clerical, secretarial or business area preferred
  • One-year prior experience in scheduling, billing, patient access, accounts receivable and/or collections experience in healthcare (clinic or hospital preferred)
