Positions are currently available in Anoka, Coon Rapids, and Oakdale MN

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, standard 8-hour shifts between 7:00am - 4:00pm Wage:
Hourly based on experience and qualifications

Level 1: $17.86 - $18.39 per hour

Level 2: $18.91 - 19.96 per hour

Level 3: $21.01 - $22.06 per hour

In our life-enrichment services, we support individuals with disabilities to set and achieve their personal goals. They can set goals related to:

  • health and fitness, mental wellbeing
  • independent living skills like cooking or money management
  • Volunteering and community exploration
  • hobbies like painting, crafts, and card games
  • Activities may include art therapy, music therapy, cooking groups, YMCA classes, social events, reading groups, and community outings

This position may be filled at the Direct Support Professional Level I, Level II or Level III, depending on qualifications, experience, and program needs.

Responsibilities

As a Direct Support Professional, you will work directly with adults with disabilities to support their goals in both community and program settings. Your day may include:

  • Assisting with personal care and daily living tasks
  • Supporting therapeutic exercises such as walking or range‑of‑motion programs
  • Encouraging participants during group activities or job‑related tasks
  • Implementing person‑centered support plans
  • Collaborating with program staff, site contacts, and employers
  • Documenting progress, medication administration, and activity outcomes
  • Lifting and transferring individuals using proper safety techniques.
Level 1 Responsibilities

No driving responsibilities required
Focus on direct care and implementation of person-centered support plans
Complete required service documentation and daily care tasks

Level 2 Responsibilities

Provide daily transportation of persons supported using company vehicles (vans/buses)
Maintain a valid driver’s license and meet insurability requirements
Follow all transportation safety procedures and protocols

Level 3 Responsibilities

Provide case management support as necessary

Maintain medication administration certification

Assist and mentor DSP levels 1 and 2 in training as needed

Requirements
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and database systems
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • Ability to meet DHS Rule 11 and Rise MVR background check requirements
  • Reliable attendance
  • Strong teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a social services setting
  • Experience using person-centered approaches with individuals with disabilities
  • Detail-oriented, efficient, and communicative
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
