Job Description
  • Coordinate services related to finances, activities, healthcare, nutrition, household management, and educational/vocational programs.
  • Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate program coverage.
  • Assistthe supervisor inmaintainingconsistency in programming, individual supports, and team communication.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to staff and support team members.
  • Perform direct support duties during assigned shifts, including personal cares, meal preparation, transportation, and other activities of daily living.
  • Promote person-centeredsupportsthatfosterindependence, choice, dignity, and positive outcomes.
  • Assist with household management and helpmaintaina clean, safe, and well-maintained home environment, including general housekeeping and upkeep tasks.
  • Communicate program, household, medical, behavioral, and staffing needs to supervisors.
Qualifications

Required (Must-Have)

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities and/orone year of lead staff experience, or a two-year degree in a related field.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and provide direct support for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely transfer, reposition, andassistindividualsin accordance with established safety guidelines.
  • Ability to lift, move, push, pull, and/orassistwithlifting upto 50 pounds.

Skills & Abilities

  • Prior experience in residential services preferred.
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, communication, and time management skills.
  • Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills to document services, follow support plans, and collaborate with internal and external team members.
  • Demonstrated reliability, accountability, and professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to support individuals using a person-centered approach that promotes dignity, independence, and choice.
