Position: Therapist – Speech Language Pathologist

$2475.20/week -

Job Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will provide specialized assessments and therapy focusing on dysphagia and swallowing disorders in inpatient rehab and acute care settings. The role involves conducting bedside swallow examinations and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to determine appropriate treatment plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform bedside swallow evaluations to assess and diagnose swallowing impairments.
  • Conduct and document therapy sessions addressing dysphagia and swallowing disorders.
  • Collaborate with physicians and speech therapists to determine the need for video fluoroscopic swallow studies (MBS).
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using electronic health records.
  • Follow facility protocols to ensure patient safety and adhere to clinical standards.
  • Participate in weekend coverage and work flexible scheduling as required.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid Minnesota State License for Speech Language Pathologists.
  • Possess at least 1 year of clinical experience in inpatient rehab and acute care environments.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in bedside swallow evaluations and treatments.
  • Have experience with video fluoroscopy swallow evaluation (preferred).
  • Be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Exhibit strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
