This position joins a Children's Hospital pharmacy team providing specialized clinical pharmacy services to critically ill neonates. The role combines direct NICU clinical practice with interdisciplinary collaboration, education, mentoring, medication-use improvement, and clinical program development.

- Five 8-Hour Shifts
- On-Call Rotation Approximately Every 8-9 Weeks

- Support Continuity Of Care Between Patient Care Areas, Pharmacy And Other Settings
- Serve As A Clinical Resource To Pharmacy Staff, Physicians And Nurses
- Educate, Mentor And Support Pharmacy Students, Staff, Residents And Peers
- Participate In Orientation And Continuing Education Programs
- Assist With Clinical Research Evaluating Clinical And Economic Outcomes Of Drugs And Drug Regimens
- Develop, Coordinate And Evaluate Target Drug And Restricted Drug Programs
- Support Medication Use Performance Assessment And Improvement
- Conduct Drug Utilization Reviews
- Identify Opportunities For Cost Containment
- Develop And Implement Utilization Reviews For Expensive, Potentially Harmful Or Improperly Used Medications
- Support Clinical Pharmacy Educational Programs For Physicians And Nursing Staff
- Oversee Clinical Student And Residency Programs
- Continually Identify Opportunities To Improve Clinical Pharmacy Services
