As a Substance Use Therapist, you will provide therapeutic programming to clients in an alcohol and other drug treatment program. You will also be responsible for all aspects of program content independently, including security, assessment/evaluation, psycho-educational programming, monitoring, reporting, teaching, training, and perform lead work functions as assigned.
Work is in a Minnesota Correctional Facility (MCF) - St. Cloud with incarcerated individuals.
** Minimum Qualifications*
* To be qualified for and considered for this position, applicants must meet all the minimum qualifications listed below. Ensure that your resume contains descriptions of your work experience sufficient for comparison against the requirements stated below and indicate the beginning and ending month and year for each job held.
+ Current licensure or eligibility for licensure through reciprocity
* by the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or equivalently qualified to perform alcohol and drug counseling under Minnesota Statute 148F.11.

* NOTE TO LICENSE-ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS:
Please include information regarding your license-eligibility in your resume or application. To maintain employment, the successful candidate who is eligible for LADC licensure must possess a temporary ADC permit within 60 calendar days of the first day of employment and current LADC license within the 6-month probationary period.)
+ Three (3) years of experience providing behavioral health services, including individual and group therapy
* An associate's degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field may substitute for six months, a bachelor's degree in a previously listed field may substitute for one year, a master's degree in a previously listed field may substitute for 2 years of experience
Applicants meeting the above minimum qualifications will be further assessed on the following:
+ Verbal and written communication skills, including proficient documentation skills
+ Interpersonal and human relation skills
+ Ability to provide substance use treatment; formulate and implement treatment plan; and develop a continuing care plan
** Preferred Qualifications*
* + Advanced degree in psychology, Social Work or a related Behavioral Science or Social Science program or a Psy.
D. or Ph.D. in Psychology.
+ Current Minnesota licensure as a Mental Health Professional (e.g., LICSW, LP, LPCC, and LMFT) as defined by Minnesota Statute 245.462subd. 18, clause 1-6.
+ Experience providing lead work direction to other behavioral health staff.
+ Experience working in a correctional/secured environment.
+ Experience providing services to clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
