JOB SUMMARY
The Breakfast Attendant’s primary responsibility is to oversee the breakfast service and ensure guests have a quality dining experience by providing a clean and well‑stocked breakfast area.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE- Must have the ability to provide professional and courteous guest service.
- M ust have good time management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must have good organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and strong attention to detail.
- Must have the ability to understand and follow verbal/written instructions and communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Must have the ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude when handling guest situations.
- Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule as the position requires working various shifts depending on business needs.
- Assists all guests professionally and courteously.
- Performs job duties and responsibilities in a cost‑effective manner and within budgetary guidelines.
- Sets up breakfast according to brand operational policies and standards, and in compliance with local county and/or city health department standards.
- Responds to guest requests while ensuring food is continually replenished and presented appealingly.
- Maintains a clean and well‑organized dining and work area by completing the following tasks:
- Clears and cleans tables and chairs, checking the floor for debris between guests.
- Disinfects all areas where food is prepared and served
- Maintains and cleans all dispensing machines, operating equipment, and serving utensils.
- Organizes storage areas to ensure food quality, utilizing the “first in first out” method of food rotation.
- Plans and prepares for the following day by checking inventory of supplies, taking action as necessary to ensure adequate quantity and quality of products for the following day.
- Maintains a record of guest requests for breakfast items and provides this information to the general manager to ensure guest satisfaction with the breakfast program.
- Stays current on hotel accommodations, services, and local attractions in order to effectively assist guests.
- Understands and applies all hotel safety and security procedures as required to maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and guests.
- Keeps supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention so prompt corrective action can be taken.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
