Founded in 1998 Propio Language Services provides critical interpreting and translation services that improve the quality of life in the communities we engage in. We do that by providing both remote and on‑site services in more than 350 languages for over 6,000 clients with a highly experienced staff and over 8,000 contract interpreters.

Quality interpretation is critical to our shared success, and it is only possible by bringing in the best interpreters in the industry.

• Provide consecutive in‑person and virtual interpretation by phone and video remote first‑person interpretation.
• Follow interpreter protocols and procedures as required by Propio L.S. clients.
• Adhere to all Propio L.S. policies and procedures related to information confidentiality and interpreter ethics.
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA and/or regulatory requirements or policies and standards.
• Establish and maintain quality service and positive interaction with patients, customers, visitors, health‑care providers, and clinical employees.
• Continuously improve vocabulary and specialized subject‑matter knowledge, as required for various clients such as medical, legal, social services, etc.

• Submission of an updated resume in English at time of application.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High‑school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Intermediate level computer skills.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to provide documentation of updated vaccinations (e.g., TB, MMR, Varicella, Hep B (or declination), TDAP, seasonal influenza, and COVID).
• Successful completion of a drug test and background check & security screening.
• A signed commitment to confidentiality, adherence to ethics, and HIPAA compliance.
• At least 1 year of interpreting experience.

• National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC).
• International Medical Interpreters Association (IMIA).
• California Healthcare Interpreters Association (CHIA).
