Role Overview
This position supports the Global Transportation sourcing team by providing analytical and operational support across transportation categories, including parcel, air freight, ocean freight, truckload (TL), less‑than‑truckload (LTL), and related logistics services. The role is highly data‑driven and responsible for developing insights, maintaining dashboards, analyzing transportation spend, supporting sourcing initiatives, and identifying opportunities to improve cost, service, and supplier performance.
Key Responsibilities- Transportation Analytics & Reporting: analyze transportation spend, volumes, rates, fuel surcharges, and service performance across global categories; develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, reports, and KPI tracking tools using PowerBI, Excel, and other analytical platforms; identify trends, cost drivers, risks, and improvement opportunities; support business reviews; ensure data accuracy.
- Sourcing & Category Support: gather and analyze supplier, market, and internal spend data; assist with RFP, bid analysis, and benchmarking; prepare business cases; maintain spend databases; support contract implementation and supplier onboarding.
- Market Intelligence: monitor carrier pricing, fuel indices, capacity conditions, and macroeconomic factors; develop market intelligence reports; benchmark against industry trends and peers; consolidate external data into actionable insights.

Collaboration:
partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Procurement teams; respond to ad‑hoc data requests; present analytical findings to stakeholders; support process‑improvement projects. - Continuous Improvement: identify automation opportunities; streamline data collection; enhance visibility of transportation performance; contribute to standardized reporting methodologies.
Required technical skills: strong analytical/problem‑solving abilities, experience with large datasets, advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Lookups, Data Modeling), PowerBI or comparable tools, data management and visualization.
Preferred: understanding of transportation and logistics concepts, experience with sourcing or procurement systems, TMS, ERP or freight audit platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in analytics, procurement, supply chain, logistics, transportation, or finance, including work on large datasets, reporting tools, and business analytics.

Benefits & CompensationSalary range (U.S., excl. PR): $66,400 – $99,600 (USD). Eligible for the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
