Edenbrook St. Cloud is currently seeking a Maintenance Assistant to assist the daily maintenance functions. The right candidate will ensure the facilities’ equipment and utilities are maintained in good working order and facility grounds are properly maintained.

The primary purpose is to aid and perform the activities of the maintenance department to ensure the center is maintained in good repair and all systems are in compliance with applicable safety and fire regulations and federal, state, and local building codes to ensure a safe, comfortable environment.

• Follows established safety policies and procedures.
• Wears and/or uses safety equipment and supplies when indicated and properly trained to use.
• Demonstrates job-specific knowledge of fire and disaster, preparedness during drills or actual situations.

• Performs regular, scheduled safety inspections.
• Performs weekly walk-through inspections of high-risk areas.
• Follows all prescribed Life Safety and Preventative Maintenance tasks in TELS as required for federal, state, local, and corporate compliance.
• Maintains required logs/documentation on following in accordance with the Life Safety Manual and OSHA compliance including fire alarm test reports, smoke/heat detectors, sprinkler inspections, emergency generator logs, range hood suppression systems, fire extinguishers, hood and duct cleaning, door locking devices, water temperatures, water hardness fire and smoke wall dampers, fire and smoke doors, fire drills, disaster drills, door alarm drills, flame spread certification, boiler vessel certification, elevator certification, facility service contracts, medical waste manifests, confined space documentation, survey documentation, material safety data sheets, lock out/tag out program.
• Performs routine maintenance and repair work. Highlights include: daily rounds through entire center, prioritizing daily work orders, maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment, lubricating and cleaning parts, repairing outdoor furniture, repairing wet equipment, cleaning drainage, maintaining grounds, and more.
• Groundskeeping responsibilities include mowing lawns, trimming edges, scatting grass seed, planting bulbs, maintaining sprinkler equipment, raking leaves, clearing snow and ice.

• High School Diploma.
• 2 years of experience in a commercial establishment with knowledge of maintenance procedures.
• Physical Demands:
  Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting, moving, and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds;
  Exerting considerable force frequently.

• Works in a safety-conscious manner and reports any safety violations or hazards.
• Complies with company policies, procedures and local, state, and federal regulations.
• Adheres to policy on Drug-Free Workplace.
• Interacts in a tactful, diplomatic, and humanistic manner with patients, families, visitors, and co-workers to create a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Maintains a dependable attendance record and adheres to standards of cleanliness, grooming, hygiene, and dress code.
