Job Title: Production Assistant Department: Finishing
Reports To: Department Supervisor FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Shifts: 12HR Nights 7PM-7AM Wage Range: $/HR Shift Differential: $2.00/night

Job SummaryA Production Assistant will provide internal production support on the floor for all finishing machines and other departments, gaining practical experience and contributing to real projects in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Assist with daily operations and team projects.
- Fill trays/boxes & stack on pallets.
- Help with documentation, product quality checks and organization of work spaces.
- Find & prepare tray tags.
- Complete tasks within time frames that align with production expectations.
- Support team members with various operational tasks.
- Support 6S initiatives as required.
- Follow all Nahan safety and quality standards.
- Work assigned shifts, including weekends and overtime, as required.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Good attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal & listening).
- Teamwork orientation.
- Basic math skills, proficiency with a ruler.
- Time‑management and organizational skills.
- Ability to learn mechanical aspects of equipment.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

The job operates in both an office and manufacturing environment, frequently experiencing moderate to loud noise levels. It involves the use of printing equipment, office computers, and lifting 25 lbs or more. Employees stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and may handle machinery and moving parts. Exposure to paper dust, hazardous materials, fumes, and adverse weather conditions may occur. Hearing protection may be required.
