Reports To: Production Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Pay Band: 7
Wage Range: $18 - $21
Shift: 12‑hour days 7 AM‑7 PM
Shift Differential: NA
Pay is based on skill, experience and location; candidates outside posted range are encouraged to apply.
Job SummaryA Stitcher Operator II assists Stitcher Operator I in binding printed pages together to produce finished products such as catalogs and direct mailers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform job OK’s and job sample checks for stitcher operations.
- Assist operator with training employees to adequately operate equipment.
- Anticipate and troubleshoot problems.
- Perform job OK’s and job sample checks for other operators.
- Develop ability to operate stitcher to cover Stitcher Operator I.
- Inspect processes to ensure proper completion and quality standards.
- Attend and participate in station training and understand bagging requirements.
- Operate secondary pieces of equipment as trained.
- Inform the Shift Leader of any issues that arise and order supplies or parts as needed.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly TPM tasks to maintain optimal equipment performance.
- Ensure compliance with Nahan Lean manufacturing principles.
- Follow all safety and quality policies and procedures.
- Work assigned shifts, including weekends and overtime as required.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic machine malfunctions.
- Attention to detail and ability to identify quality defects.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and technical specifications.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and production tracking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal, listening).
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in English, written and verbal.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous related experience preferred.

The operational environment is a manufacturing setting with moderate to loud noise levels and exposure to printing equipment, moving parts, paper dust, and hazardous materials. Regular standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 70 lbs are required. Visual acuity for close‑up work is essential. Employees must tolerate extended seasonal hours and maintain alertness to meet deadlines. Appropriate PPE may be required.
