Position Summary: As a Composite Operator at Carfair, you will play a critical role in the fabrication and assembly of composite components, using a variety of materials and manufacturing techniques to meet production and quality standards.
Wage: $22.75
Responsibilities:
- Prepare molds and composite materials for production processes.
- Perform lamination, hand lay-ups, and other composite manufacturing techniques.
- Apply resin and fiberglass layers as per specifications.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to shape and finish composite parts.
- Perform quality inspections to ensure components meet standards.
- Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and continuous improvement goals.
- Participate in training and development activities.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in composite manufacturing or related field is an advantage.
- Familiarity with fiberglass, resins, and composite materials.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Ability to safely handle and use various hand and power tools.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring lifting up to 20 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
