Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Industrial Maintenance
Quanex is looking for a Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift to join our team located onsite in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
In this role, you will repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment while resolving complex issues related to motors, pneumatics, tools, conveyer systems, and production machines. Responsibilities will also include building and grounds maintenance. You are the driving force for improvement in your department. You must project a positive attitude, be open and willing to help others, be flexible, have excellent attendance and comply with all safety rules and procedures, while ensuring your team is following them as well.
Salary: $31.36 - $36.96 per hour (rate includes 12% shift differential), pay based on experience
New Hire Bonus: $1,000, payout increments at 30-days, 60-days and 6-months of employment!
Schedule: Monday – Thursday from 12:00pm – 8:30pm, and Fridays from 2:30pm - 11pm. Overtime may be required based on business needs.

- Maintains, repairs, and modifies extruders, pullers, calibration tables, saws, etc.
- Repairs and reconditions hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
- Must be flexible with hours across all shifts to train and coach.
- High School education or equivalent required
- Intermediate level of experience with electrical and mechanical applications, as well as experience with mechanical and hand tools for equipment repair.
- 3+ years industrial maintenance experience, required
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience, preferred
- Excellent communication skills, computers/systems skills, and organization skills
