About the Opportunity
We’re partnering with a manufacturing facility in St. Paul, Minnesota seeking a Printing Manager. The Printing Manager will lead printing while also covering prepress, graphics, and platemaking. The department has a solid team, strong shift leads, and a lot of internal knowledge. This is a great fit for someone who communicates well, stays close to the floor, and wants to step into a good situation where the team already has momentum.

You’ll lead the printing function while helping keep the department aligned, supported, and running well.

Key areas of focus include:

• Lead printing operations and support daily department performance
• Cover prepress, graphics, and platemaking responsibilities
• Support a team of approximately 15 reports
• Work closely with strong shift leads and experienced employees
• Support ink management and sheet-fed printing operations
• Keep maintenance and repairs moving when needed
• Continue building strong communication with employees
• Help maintain a culture where people feel heard and supported
• Wear multiple hats in a smaller facility environment

You are a hands-on printing leader who communicates well and knows how to build trust with a team.

You understand that this role is not just about equipment or output. The culture requires someone who listens, stays visible, and keeps people moving in the same direction.

• Printing leadership experience preferred
• Sheet-fed printing experience preferred
• Folding carton experience ideal
• Ink management experience helpful
• Prepress, graphics, or platemaking experience helpful
• Union environment experience is a plus
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Hands-on leadership style
• Ability to support maintenance, repairs, and daily operations
• Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a smaller facility
