Description
The Finishing Technician 1 prepares, sandblasts, seals, and paints manufactured components while inspecting finished products for quality and performing necessary touch‑ups. In this role, the technician gains foundational skills in equipment operation, routine maintenance, and basic troubleshooting. Additionally, the position supports production schedules and flexible team needs while adhering to established process flows. The Finishing Technician 1 drives lean initiatives, maintains a clean and safe environment, and contributes ideas for overall process improvement.

Responsibilities- Prepare machines and components including washing, taping, masking, plugging holes, and staging of parts
- Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes to load, unload, and move parts
- Operate spray or blast equipment to prime, paint or blast parts
- Seal parts after blast as required
- Verify parts are completed to proper mill finish, check wash titration and ensure overall part quality
- Inspect finished parts for runs, sags, skips, and defects and perform touch‑up as required
- Assist with basic maintenance and troubleshooting of blast and paint equipment
- Support continuous improvement and remain flexible to complete tasks as a team
- Use the computer system to log into jobs and look up prints and work instructions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Hours for this position are Monday – Thursday 06:00 am – 04:30 pm and Friday 06:00 am – 11:00 am.
Experience and Qualifications Education- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is preferred
- 0–2 years of sandblast, painting, or related manufacturing experience preferred
In accordance with pay transparency regulations, the anticipated starting hourly rate for this position ranges from $20.00 – $23.00. Please note that the hourly range provided is an estimate and not a guarantee; the final offer will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, location, and assigned shift. Full‑time employees may also be eligible for variable compensation, company‑wide incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package.
