Wage Range: $23.71-$35.57
Shifts: 12 HR Nights
Shift Differential Range: $2.00

Job SummaryA Maintenance I will perform maintenance on specified equipment on a daily and/or regular basis as needed and directed by the Production departments; conduct research and development on new and existing equipment and integrate these into the manufacturing process to achieve the desired results; and can train and mentor other maintenance individuals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Direct the manufacture, installation, and testing of equipment to ensure that products meet specifications and codes.
- Research and develop tools, processes, machines and equipment, and integrate into the facilities and systems for producing quality products.
- Perform modeling of a diverse range of complex internal systems and design/develop controls to affect a desired outcome.
- Use principles and methods of engineering analysis and design, to predict, and evaluate the results obtained from systems and processes.
- Perform detailed calculations to develop manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
- Investigate complaints from operators/customers, evaluate problems, and recommend solutions.
- Work with project managers on production efforts to ensure that projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.
- Evaluate systems and recommend design modifications or equipment repair.
- Plan and develop applications and modifications used in parts and systems in order to improve technical performance.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks to maintain optimal equipment performance.
- Continue education as required for role, must complete and pass electrical skills test.
- Follow all Nahan safety and quality standards.
- Work assigned shifts, including weekends and overtime, as required.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot advanced machine/equipment malfunctions.
- Attention to detail and ability to identify quality defects.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and technical specifications.
- Ability to work independently, part of a team, train and coach.
- Strong communication skills (written, verbal and listening).
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with English language, both written and verbal.
- Minimum 2 years of secondary education and/or combination of education and work experience in mechanical design and fabrication; knowledge should be advanced.
- 10+ years minimum work experience in manufacturing or related field preferred.
- Power Limited License (PLT) preferred.
- Printing/Mailing background preferred.

This job operates in a Manufacturing environment. While performing duties inside the facility, the employee is frequently exposed to normal to moderate working conditions for a manufacturing facility with a noise level that is usually moderate to loud. The role routinely uses printing equipment and machines.
While performing duties, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, stand for long periods, and use hands or fingers to reach or handle. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee will regularly lift 70 lbs or more. All vision abilities are required. Employees must be able to tolerate extended seasonal hours and maintain alertness to meet deadlines.
Occasionally, while performing duties, the employee may be exposed to machinery and moving parts, airborne particles including paper dust and hazardous materials or fumes, which may require the use of PPE. The employee may be exposed to adverse weather conditions, extended seasonal hours, high precarious places, and confined spaces. The nose level in some work environments may require the use of hearing protection.
