Packing Room Operator - 1st Shift

Wage: $23.93/hr

Machine set up and operation in accordance with specifications and safety regulations.

• Machine set up and take down which includes threading of machines, making any adjustments needed and bagging up the equipment at the end of the night.
• Keeping rolls of plastic ready to go to avoid production delays causing line down time.
• Knowing where rolls of plastic are kept, and using the different programs for running our various products.
• Assisting the line in any way, shape or form (e.g., boxing keels, repacking boxes, stacking skids while the transporter is gone to freezer, packing when packers fall behind).
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment following SQF and all safety guidelines.
• Helping in other areas not required in the posted position, punching in on SAP for the job performed.
• Tolerating wide variations in environment (temperature, humidity, flour, etc.).
• Performing duties that may differ from line to line and accepting other duties as assigned.

High noise, varied temperatures (warm to cold), slippery floors, moving equipment and dust may be present. Wear appropriate PPE and other equipment as necessary or required.

• Display positive attitude and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day.
• Must be able to frequently bend, lift and twist.
• Must pass the company physical classification test for essential functions of the position.
• Must successfully complete a pre‑employment drug test and background check.
