CNC Laser Set-Up

Northern Metal Products is seeking a 2nd Shift CNC Laser Set-Up/Operator.

Northern Metal Products is a manufacturer of custom solutions for both the Retail and OEM industries. Founded in 1959, NMP is a private, financially sound, and growing company with diverse capabilities fabricating wire, sheet metal, tubing, and wood.

This position would be responsible for daily set-up and operation of sheet metal lasers and tube lasers.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate sheet metal lasers and tube lasers.
• Ability to work with closes tolerances.
• Experience with CNC controls.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regards to all of the essential duties and responsibilities.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

Requirements:

• Able to understand and execute basic written and verbal instructions given in English.
• Read/interpret drawings and shop papers.
• Ability to accurately read and measure with standard measuring devices, such as calipers, micrometers, height, and radius gages.
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail-able to spot and correct issues before they become problems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative production team

2 nd shift hours:3:30pm - 12:00am Monday-Friday OR 3:30pm - 2:00am Monday-Thursday

Required Experience:

Minimum of 2 years CNC set-up/adjustment experience; loading programs, adjusting part offsets, adjusting tool offsets and adjusting programs.
