Location: Central Minnesota with limited JA North meetings

FTE Status: Full-time, exempt – benefits available (see below)

Compensation Range: $55,000 - $65,000

POSITION SUMMARY

The Relationship Manager role is a full-time position that helps manage and grow critical community relationships with the goal of developing strong program partnerships, fundraising opportunities, and corporate employee engagement. Candidates will be strong individual contributors who have a history of meeting and exceeding fundraising goals and who value working collaboratively across teams. This is a multi-faceted position that will help expand the JA footprint in Central Minnesota while simultaneously working to generate funding for JA programs and engage new or emerging partners (as identified by the Director of Regional Advancement) in volunteerism, events, and employee giving.

The Relationship Manager is a skilled relationship builder and steward of community partnerships and has experience establishing new partnerships. The ideal candidate will be deeply engaged in many communities throughout Central Minnesota, especially in the St. Cloud area. The Relationship Manager is a member of the Regional Advancement team, reporting to the Director of Regional Advancement.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop, cultivate, and solicit both emerging and established funding partners.
  • Actively engages with and manages a portfolio of funding prospects, including cultivation, solicitation, closing of gifts, and stewardship.
  • Works closely with Director to ensure a comprehensive development strategy is implemented to achieve superior customer service while exceeding funding goals.
  • Promote employee engagement with corporate partners through volunteerism, special events, and employee giving. Collaborate with the regional program manager to meet program volunteer needs.
  • Create and deliver funding/sponsorship proposals and event solicitations.
  • Manage, support, and grow assigned Regional Advisory Board to support the goals of the organization in the region.
  • Identify opportunities for networking, events, and engagement in the community. Actively attend and represent Junior Achievement to gain new connections for the organization.
  • Raise the profile of Junior Achievement in the region by securing speaking opportunities, new partnerships, and media exposure to grow the organization’s opportunities.
  • Lead, promote, and deliver special events to generate funding and awareness.
  • Work in partnership with the regional Program Manager to ensure program impact is aligned with fundraising in the region and state.
