Registered Nurse | Plaza Surgery Center

We are looking for Registered Nurses who are passionate about quality care and teamwork to join our team with the Ambulatory Surgery Center at the Plaza. As a member of the perioperative team, you will collaborate with Physicians, CRNAs, Surgical Technologists and other professionals to deliver high-quality care before, during and after surgery.

Responsibilities include:

* Interviewing and assessing patients' physical, psychosocial and holistic needs to plan, implement and evaluate patient-focused care.

* Reviewing surgeons' pre-requisites and test results, communicating abnormalities and/or omissions to appropriate personnel.

* Collaborating and coordinating care with other health care team members to promote quality outcomes.

* Utilizing nursing processes to identify individual patient needs, including education and care planning.

* Adapting calmly to unexpected events such as emergency surgeries, changes in patient condition or equipment issues.

* Ensuring accurate and complete perioperative documentation in alignment with Perioperative Outcomes Standards.

Schedule:

* Full-time | 72-80 hours every two weeks | Plaza Surgery Center

* Monday - Friday | Various 8 - 10-hour shifts between 5:00am - 7:00pm

* No weekends or holidays!

Pay and Benefits

* Pay based on experience and degree

* Associate/Diploma in nursing starting at $42.86 per hour

* Bachelor's in nursing starting at $44.34 per hour

* Master's in nursing starting at $45.82 per hour

* Pay range: $42.86 - $71.51 per hour

Qualifications:

* Graduate from a nursing program, Bachelor's or Master's in nursing preferred

* Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in nursing required within 3 years of hire

* Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Minnesota

* Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card

* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

* Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

* Knowledge of nursing standards, policies, procedures, and ethics

* National Certification in a Nursing Specialty preferred

* Previous experience in perioperative or surgical departments preferred
