Registered Nurse; RN

We are seeking an RN or LPN to provide on‑site nursing and care to adolescents and young adults at Newport Healthcare.

32 hours per week: two 12‑hour shifts and one 8‑hour shift, including every third weekend.

Schedule:

6:00–6:30 PM shifts, followed by a 6:00–4:30 PM shift.

• Administer medications and monitor vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation in medical records.
• Evaluate medical complaints and concerns from residents, and communicate effectively with Nurse Practitioners and Physicians.
• Develop and implement treatment plans, providing direct care and nursing services as prescribed.
• Monitor chronic health conditions, respiratory distress, and seizures, ensuring timely interventions.
• Maintain comprehensive medical records and logs, adhering to all mandated reporting and infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with Care Coordinators regarding medication management and refills.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, contributing expertise to enhance patient care.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a Nursing Degree.
• Current RN licensure with the Minnesota State Board of Nursing.
• Ideally, prior experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with adolescents and/or young adults.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to make sound judgment calls in high‑pressure scenarios.
• Team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to collaboration.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Ability to react quickly and calmly in emergent situations.
• Proactive mindset focused on quality improvement and accuracy in all tasks.

$37 to $53 per hour, depending on education and experience.
