Newport Healthcare is seeking an enthusiastic RN or LPN to provide on‑site nursing and care in our supportive and nurturing facilities. PRN Position – What You’ll Do- Administer medications and monitor vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation in medical records.
- Evaluate medical complaints and concerns from residents, effectively communicating with Nurse Practitioners and physicians.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, providing direct care and nursing services as prescribed.
- Monitor chronic health conditions, respiratory distress, and seizures, ensuring timely interventions.
- Maintain comprehensive medical records and logs, adhering to all mandated reporting and infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with BHS regarding medication management and refills.
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings, contributing your expertise to enhance patient care.
- Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a nursing degree. - Licensure:
Current RN licensure with the Minnesota State Board of Nursing is a must. - Experience:
Ideally, you bring previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with adolescents and/or young adults. - Communication
Skills:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to make sound judgment calls in high‑pressure scenarios. - Team Player: A positive attitude and a commitment to teamwork, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Tech‑Savvy:
Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records (EHR). - Crisis Management:

- Pay range for this position is $37 to $53 depending on education and experience.
