Safety Coordinator
Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring a Safety Coordinator for a manufacturing company in St. Cloud, MN. In this role, you’ll help maintain a safe work environment by preventing injuries, supporting compliance, and training employees on best practices. If you enjoy hands-on safety work, problem-solving, and making a direct impact on workplace safety, this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Do as a Safety Coordinator:
- Diagnose and treat workplace injuries and illnesses in accordance with accepted practices and company policies
- Monitor and recommend injury prevention programs and continuous safety improvements
- Conduct workplace inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Train and coach employees on proper safety procedures and use of PPE
- Perform industrial hygiene testing, record keeping, and follow-up activities
- Support safety and HR initiatives, including administrative tasks and monthly safety committee meetings
- Assist with additional duties such as maintenance temperature checks and filling in for other roles as needed
What You Need to Bring to the Safety Coordinator Role:
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Strong attention to safety, detail, and compliance standards
- Ability to work overtime and be on-call on weekends as assigned
- Reliable attendance in compliance with company guidelines
- Ability to perform inspections, documentation, and follow established procedures
- Previous safety or industrial environment experience preferred
