Job Summary

A Quality Assurance/Training Lead helps monitor and improve the quality processes implemented to ensure customer satisfaction, administers and supports the facilities training needs, and makes continuous improvements to the processes that ensure Nahan meets training, quality, and profitability requirements per policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Quality Assurance Leadership:
    • Lead all Quality Assurance processes, including continuities, signoffs, and samples, ensuring implementation across all employees.
    • Monitor and audit quality assurance processes throughout the shift, recommending improvements as needed.
    • Assist in resolving quality issues by gathering data, determining the scope, and quarantining products when necessary.
    • Document and initiate root cause and corrective action activities for issues meeting the threshold.
    • Assist with corrective actions for quality issues.
    • Maintain and update QA documents, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Training Coordination:
    • Coordinate training activities for new hires and re‑train for existing staff.
    • Meet with Production Leaders at shift start‑up to determine daily training needs.
    • Collaborate with Training SMEs to ensure tailored training plans for each trainee.
    • Ensure proper training documents are utilized and completed.
    • Evaluate trainees to determine when they meet expectations outlined in the training plan.
    • Provide SOP training for production staff.
    • Maintain and update training documents, making recommendations for improvements.
  • Customer Concerns:
    • Assist in gathering information to address and resolve customer concern investigations.
  • Quality Control (QC):
    • Collect and file all QC pulls from the previous shift.
    • Verify that all "Match job" QC pulls have matching components.
    • Support production in gathering and analyzing quality issue data.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance where applicable to QA.
  • Follow all Nahan Safety and Quality Standards.
  • Work assigned shifts, including weekends and overtime, as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Skills and Abilities

Required
  • Ability to train new hires with a person‑centered approach.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality defects.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders and technical specifications.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and coach others.
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and listening).
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency/fluent with the English language, both written and verbal.
  • Secondary language in Spanish or others is a value add.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Post‑secondary education in Quality Assurance preferred.
  • Prior printing/training experience preferred.

Exposure to machinery, moving parts, airborne particles (including paper dust), hazardous materials, fumes, adverse weather, high precarious places, and confined spaces may occur, requiring use of PPE and hearing protection where appropriate.
