Hardgoods Regulatory Engineering Risk and Compliance Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Oversee regulatory compliance for hardgoods across EU and UK markets
• Lead technical risk assessments throughout the product lifecycle
• Interpret and communicate regulatory requirements to teams
• Partner with business teams to commercialize product through compliance documentation
• Coordinate testing activities with external labs
• Monitor regulatory changes in the EU/UK
• Support internal audits and external regulatory inspections
• Collaborate with teams to resolve compliance issues
• Train teams on regulatory obligations and product safety principles
• Ensure consistent application of harmonized standards
• Implement 3M Product Safety standards, processes, and SOPs

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Science or Engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start)
• Five (5) years combined experience in Product Compliance, Product Stewardship, Sustainability, Materials science, Quality, or related Regulatory Affairs role in a private, public, government or military environment
• Three (3) years of project management experience
• Three (3) years of experience in people management
• Master’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline from an accredited institution (preferred)
• Experience working with high-risk applications, global customers, global regulatory bodies, and government agencies (preferred)
• Strong project management skills (preferred)
• Must be fluent in English.
