Position Summary

As a Tire and Battery Service Advisor, you will ensure the safety, organization, and merchandising of the Tire and Battery Center (TBC) while delivering outstanding member service and driving sales excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain facility and sales floor safety by adhering to safety policies, conducting safety sweeps, properly handling forklifts and hazardous materials, and promptly reporting unsafe situations.
  • Ensure the TBC sales floor is organized, stocked, zoned, and merchandised according to company policies, including handling claims, returns, shrink, and damages.
  • Present and maintain merchandise presentation by stocking, setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays; sign and price merchandise; secure fragile and high‑shrink items.
  • Monitor tire and battery orders daily and assist members with installation appointments, communicating lead‑time changes and offering alternative options.
  • Provide expert member service by greeting members, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing and service decisions, and resolving concerns using Sam’s Garage and product knowledge.
  • Drive sales and service excellence by communicating merchandise and service value and collaborating with associates to promote TBC offerings.
  • Triage and prioritize service workflow in TBC bays, refer to Sam’s Garage for waiting members, and re‑prioritize appointments to maximize service efficiency.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operations, TPMS, product specifications, seasonality, Point‑of‑Sale systems, phone, and in‑person selling techniques.
  • Leverage technology tools (digital and handheld devices) to plan sales, enhance operations, make real‑time decisions, and encourage adoption of new tools among team members.
  • Serve as a brand advocate, model high‑quality service, influence team members, assist in training, and support developing and mentoring others.
  • Operate TBC equipment safely, process payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges following appropriate procedures for membership and payment types.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics by implementing action plans and utilizing the Open Door Policy.
  • Complete work assignments by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, and customers; identify priorities; communicate progress; recommend improvements; and adapt to feedback.
  • Embrace diversity, build strong relationships, mentor others, and maintain integrity, teamwork, customer focus, and excellence.
Qualifications
  • Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Preferred:
    Auto service industry experience;
    Retail experience.
