What You’ll Do

Provides member service. Maintains the checkout area, resolves member issues and concerns, promotes Sam’s Club products and services, and provides guidance and support to members regarding self‑service technology. Processes member purchases and assists with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types. Follows company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps.

Follows proper procedures for handling merchandise, corrects and reports unsafe situations to facility management, and maintains entrance and exit areas. Acknowledges members, verifies membership cards, identifies member needs, assists members with purchasing decisions, locates merchandise, promotes products and services, zones the area, arranges and organizes merchandise, assists members with transporting items, and maintains a safe shopping environment. Reviews member receipts, secures and safeguards Sam’s Club assets and property by observing and communicating potential criminal activity, maintains paperwork, logs, and other required documentation, and executes emergency response procedures.

Assists with the training of Member Frontline Services associates on company processes and procedures. Teaches new technology and tool functionality, delivers new programs rollout training, and provides continuous learning and process improvement opportunities. Ensures the area of responsibility is maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures by properly handling returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages.

Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, collaborating with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners, identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations, carrying out tasks, communicating progress and information, determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities, and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback. Demonstrates respect for the individual, integrates teamwork, builds strong relationships, mentors others, adheres to integrity, customer focus, and excellence, and embraces new technologies.
