Description
SCHEELS seeks a store associate passionate about sports, fitness, fashion, or the outdoors. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, supporting sales, and maintaining a clean, engaging store environment.
CompensationStarting at $15.00 per hour.
ScheduleMust be flexible to work assigned schedule between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m., Monday–Saturday; 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Sunday. Availability of two weekends per month required, three preferred. Average hours per week 15–20.
Responsibilities- Greet all customers when entering and exiting the store.
- Promote the Scheels Visa Rewards card and clearly explain all benefits.
- Accurately balance cash drawer at the end of the day.
- Maintain a clean working environment and personal workspace.
- Engage in conversation with the customer to add a personal touch to each transaction.
- End each transaction by saying “thank you” to every customer.
- Maintain a professional appearance on the sales floor.
- Contribute to a work environment that fosters pride in being part of a winning team and promotes personal growth.
- Perform basic math: compute rate, ratio, percent; draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Write simple correspondence.
- Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
- Demonstrate strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and problem‑solving skills.
- Show strong initiative and vision for continuous improvement while contributing to a positive team atmosphere.
- Exercise judgment and tact while working with customers or co‑workers.
- Communicate orally and in writing effectively and in a timely manner with all levels of the organization.
- Work assigned schedules, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Assist in all other duties as assigned.
- Customer Service: Genuinely and consistently treat co‑workers, customers and business partners like the most important person, using eye contact, a smile, and a genuine “Thank you.”

High school diploma or GED preferred and/or 1–3 months of cashiering experience.
Physical Requirements / Lifting RequirementsMust be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation. Medium work – exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
