Part Time Cashier

Job Overview

Cub Silver Lake Road is looking for dedicated individuals to fill a part‑time cashier position. Garden center cashiers follow front‑end checkout procedures in all transactions, maintaining positive customer relations and processing orders efficiently.

• Assist customers and provide courteous, prompt service.
• Perform product scanning and process customer orders accurately, efficiently, and promptly.
• Handle all forms of tender and coupons properly.
• Process voids, returns, refunds, and exchanges accurately.
• Address customer questions or requests.
• Maintain and clean the front‑end.

• Must be able to operate equipment (scanner, register, check‑approval machine, coupon machine, intercom, calculator, etc.).
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must possess memorization, reading, writing, and math skills.
• Must have sound judgment; self‑directed supervision may not be available.
• Must understand and follow verbal or documented instructions; must write identifying information and request supplies verbally or in writing.
• Must work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be 16 years of age and older.

• Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
