The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a critical role in Geo Comm’s growth strategy by identifying, engaging, and qualifying high-quality leads for our sales pipeline. This role is ideal for a motivated, curious, and results-oriented professional who enjoys 1:1 outreach, researching potential customers, and building early-stage relationships that help drive revenue. You will be the first point of contact for many prospects, representing Geo Comm’s brand, value, and solutions.

Job Duties
- Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Proactively identify and research potential customers within target markets, including public safety agencies, government entities, and technology partners.
- Generate new leads through outbound calling, email campaigns, Linked In outreach, and other prospecting channels.
- Maintain a high level of daily activity, including dials, personalized emails, and social outreach.
- Qualification & Pipeline Building
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads using discovery questions to determine fit, interest, budget, and timeline.
- Clearly articulate Geo Comm’s products, solutions, and value proposition in early conversations.
- Schedule qualified meetings and hand off opportunities to the appropriate Account Executive or Sales Manager.
- CRM & Data Management
- Accurately document all lead interactions, outreach activity, and qualification notes in CRM (Salesforce or similar).
- Maintain clean, organized lead lists and ensure data integrity for consistent follow-up.
- Collaboration & Teamwork
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to refine outbound messaging and target the right buyer personas.
- Provide feedback to marketing on campaign performance and market response.
- Participate in regular sales pipeline reviews and team planning sessions.
- Performance & Metrics
- Meet or exceed KPIs, including number of new leads generated, outreach activity, meetings booked, and qualified opportunities created.
- Monitor personal progress and actively look for opportunities to improve conversion rates and outreach success.
- Participates in regular one-on-one discussions with manager, and in team and department meetings, as required.
- Performs other duties as requested by the Senior Director of Growth Marketing.
- Functions as a team member by assisting, supporting, and encouraging other employees in any way possible.
- Improves self in any way possible to enhance job performance.
- Performs related work as required, willingly and eagerly.
- Meets deadlines as required.

Minimum RequirementsEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, GIS, or related field

Experience:
- 1-3 years of sales development, business development, or lead generation (technology or public safety preferred)
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with CRM platforms
- Experience in consultative selling public safety communications-related products and services within local and state government markets with a proven sales track record.
- Current presence, prior or existing professional experience, and established relationships in the pertinent sales territory with local, state, and commercial public safety communications stakeholders.
- Thorough understanding of fundamental GIS principles and technologies, and the application of GIS technologies in public safety communications technically and operationally.
