We’re seeking a results-driven sales professional with a strong agricultural background and proven grain sales experience to grow volume, proactively identify prospects, deliver product presentations, and build lasting customers relationships.

This role is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with producers, elevators, and agricultural business partners while driving profitable grain sales.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience, strong agricultural knowledge, and the ability to build long-term relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with buyers, processors, exporters, and end-users to maximize sales volume and revenue from our grown grain
  • Proactively prospect new customers through targeted outreach, farm co-op visits, calls and industry trade events
  • Present competitive bids and negotiate sales contracts, including price, volume, quality specs, and delivery timelines, while adhering to company pricing guidelines
  • Educate customers on our grain’s quality advantages (e.g., grades, protein content certifications) and tailor sales pitches to highlight our production strengths
  • Coordinate post-sale logistics by collaborating with internal operations to confirm inventory availability, schedule loads, and ensure on-time delivery
  • Prepare accurate sale contracts, and documentation; resolve any post-scale discrepancies related to quality, weight, or payment
  • Track all sales activity, pipeline opportunities, and customer interactions in the CRM system, delivering weekly forecasts and performance reports to management
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, optimize pricing strategies, and recommend inventory release timing to meet profitability targets
  • Represent the company at commodity expos, and networking events to build brand awareness for our high-quality grain
  • Stay current on grain market regulation, grading standards, and transportation rules to ensure compliant and efficient sales processes
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong customer service, communication and negotiation skills
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM Systems
  • Possess a driver’s license with a clean driving record per company standards.
  • 2+ years of experience in grain sales, ag sales, or related field
  • Proven ability to build relationships in the agricultural industry
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
