Route Sales Support Driver

As a Route Sales Support Driver (RSS), you will build solid, positive working relationships with customers while meeting and exceeding sales growth goals. You will operate a company step van, provide products and services, and support the sales organization with new business development.

• Safely operate the company step van in designated areas to provide products and service to a variety of clients.
• Verify daily preventative maintenance of the vehicle and maintain proper operator documentation.
• Manage the daily route independently to ensure accurate and timely delivery of product.
• Load/unload product per company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Review invoices daily for complete and accurate information and make corrections as needed.
• Meet sales goals and promote overall route growth to enhance profitability.
• Develop leads/prospects, call prospective customers to solicit business, prepare service agreements, and install new accounts; assist the sales organization with the procurement of additional new business.
• Possess a strong understanding of services, policies, and pricing methods and communicate these to customers.
• Monitor customer feedback and handle customer issues promptly and courteously.
• Take responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others; use safe precautions, proper tools, and equipment and adhere to all safe work practices and policies.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned reasonably within the scope of activities enumerated above.

• Minimum of 21 years of age, valid driver’s license, and excellent driving record.
• Customer service experience with a wide variety of consistent customer contact.
• Strong math and basic computer skills.
• Demonstrated experience selling services/products and generating new business (preferred).
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and think quickly to identify and solve customer concerns.

• Exposure to adverse and varying weather conditions, which may include extreme hot or cold temperatures.
• Fast‑paced environment, sometimes requiring irregular and long hours.

• Routine lifting and maneuvering of a minimum of 25 lbs. and load/unload product from truck without assistance.
• Occasional lifting and maneuvering of over 50 lbs.
• Requires bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching.

Valid driver’s license (not CDL) with minimal points or violations in the last three years.

High school degree or equivalent.

Hourly rate: $28.28.
