Responsibilities
  • Engage clients in business consultations to assess their needs, match them with Paychex solutions, and build internal relationships and referral networks to grow the client base.
  • Generate sales revenue within your assigned territory to meet or exceed sales quota.
  • Contact existing client base through phone, email, and/or in-person meetings.
  • Leverage Go-to-Market sales strategy to identify customers’ needs to increase revenue and market share.
  • Project a positive image in representing the company to clients and the community.
  • Apply knowledge of Paychex Agency Insurance and Service products to interest clients effectively.
  • Perform insurance needs analysis for clients to provide solutions to insurance and benefit needs.
  • Develop Insurance Carrier relationships to enhance sales and service.
  • Professionally write and process sales contracts per operational guidelines.
  • Perform underwriting of business risks per insurance carrier guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Business or related discipline
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related discipline
    - Preferred
  • 2 years of experience in Relevant sales /marketing experience or the equivalent education and experience
  • Relevant Insurance License; must be eligible for applicable insurance licensing in all 50 states. If not licensed, must obtain necessary insurance license(s) within 90 calendar days of start date. Failure to obtain or maintain license may result in corrective action, up to and including termination. Paychex Insurance Agency, Inc. will cover the cost of up to two attempts to pass a state insurance licensing exam including exam materials and testing fee.

    Additional attempts are at employee expense. Employees with active licenses must update any changes before start date.

Compensation

In the spirit of pay transparency, the starting base pay for this position is $55,000.00 base + commission. This is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
