Equipment Mechanic-Asphalt Paving

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair a wide range of construction and paving equipment. This includes pavers, rollers, skid steers, trucks, and support equipment. The position is based out of Fargo, ND, with occasional travel to job sites during the paving season.

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on trucks, paving equipment, and earthworks equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on a routine schedule
• Maintain accurate records of service and repairs
• Operate company vehicles and equipment safely and responsibly
• Assist with emergency repairs in the field when necessary

• 2+ years of experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, engines, electrical systems, and general diagnostics
• Ability to work independently and efficiently under time constraints
• Must have a valid driver’s license; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain
• Must have your own basic tool set

• Experience working on paving-specific equipment (e.g., pavers, compactors)
• Welding and fabrication skills
• CDL Class A or B

Seasonal work M-F 60+ hours a week(must be available to work Saturdays) Fargo location!

Excellent wages: $31.60-$34.40/hr DOE

Fringe benefit- $21.90+/hr fringe(covers Health Insurance premiums & Pension).

Must be able to pass drug screen.

Education/

Experience:

Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. 1-2 years of related experience and/or training in construction field is helpful.
Highly competitive wages and benefits offered. Must pass urine drug test! Must be willing to work long hours during summer season
