Lube Tech​/Express Technician

Description

The Lube Technician plays an extremely important role in customer satisfaction and the overall continued success of Miller Auto. The position utilizes education and experience to complete light maintenance work on vehicles.

• Partner and communicate with department employees as necessary.
• Complete oil changes, tire rotations, flushes, etc.
• Repair broken or worn mechanical components.
• Maintain repair and service records.
• Install equipment, components and systems.
• Repair electrical wiring, circuits and fixtures.
• Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting repair operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, and other hazardous materials laws.
• Maintain and execute health and safety guidelines, policies and procedures at all times, including company expectations, state and federal laws, OSHA, Red Flags, Privacy and OFAC.
• Maintain and wear all required safety and health personal protective equipment as recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
• Other duties as deemed necessary by management.

• Must be presentable and professional at all times.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Automotive education preferred.
• 2–3 years applicable experience preferred.
• Good organizational skills and time management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent listening skills.
• Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
• Knowledge of relevant computer applications.
• Product knowledge.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Light work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
• Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
