GM Service Technician – Saint Cloud, MN

The Vehicle Technician plays an extremely important role in customer satisfaction and the overall continued success of Miller Auto Plaza. The position utilizes education and experience to diagnose the different sources of automotive problems and swiftly and accurately repair the diagnosed issue.

• Partner and communicate with all department employees as necessary.
• Write vehicle damage repair estimates.
• Repair broken or worn mechanical components.
• Maintain repair and service records.
• Install equipment, components and systems.
• Repair electrical wiring, circuits and fixtures.
• Maintain and execute safety guidelines, policies and procedures at all times.
• Responsible for keeping work area clean and organized, free of debris and trash.
• Understand and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect repair operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
• Maintain and execute health and safety guidelines, policies and procedures at all times, including company expectations, state and federal laws, OSHA, Red Flags, Privacy and OFAC.
• Maintain and wear all required safety and health personal protective equipment in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.

• Must be presentable and professionally appearing at all times.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Automotive education preferred.
• 2–3 years of applicable experience preferred.
• Good organizational skills and time management.
• Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills.
• Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
• Knowledge of relevant computer applications.
• Product knowledge.
