Shipping and Receiving Associate

Overview

Gulf Coast Modification is seeking a dependable Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our La Porte team. This hands-on role includes shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and warehouse support. We are looking for a reliable team player who enjoys working in a small manufacturing environment.

• Review all incoming Orders/Purchase Orders from customers for discrepancies.
• Perform visual inspection on valves.
• Receive product into Modman and forward to sales for order entry.
• Stamp incoming valves and prepare for production.
• Prepare orders for shipping including end protectors, touch up paint, tagging, palletizing, and wrapping.
• Review and ensure all paperwork is prepared and included with shipment.
• Coordinate third-party freight and will call orders.
• Operate forklift (propane and standing electric) and other warehouse equipment.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Socket weld machining.
• Tack welding.
• Function testing.
• Training from site supervisor.
• Significant overtime work required.
• Various tasks may be assigned.

• Ability to stand, crouch, bend for 8-hour shifts.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs. on occasion.
• Basic computer skills.
• Operate a forklift.
• Ability to work as a team.
• Strong attention to detail.

• Forklift Operator Experience and/or Training Course
• Must be able to speak & write in English

• 2 years of Shipping and Receiving experience
