Maintenance Technician II – St. Cloud, MN
This full‑time position performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, as well as on machines and equipment. The role includes carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine repair, electrical work, sheet metal fabrication, and welding. The Technician works under general supervision and follows standard operating procedures and applicable regulations.
Relocation assistance is not available.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and repair facilities and properties, including patching holes, repairing concrete floors, steps, sidewalks, painting structures and equipment, installing and correcting minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and structural problems.
- Install, operate, and service boilers, chillers, motors, fans, pumps, and related mechanical equipment.
- Move and store furniture and equipment as needed.
- Estimate time and material costs, requisition supplies and equipment.
- Perform landscaping tasks such as planting, pruning, watering, raking leaves, sweeping walkways, and applying/enacting snow removal or melting chemicals.
- Operate vehicle to other locations.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain proper documentation as required by regulatory agencies.
- High School diploma or equivalent; trade license may be required.
- At least 3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in painting, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.
- Truck and/or bus driving experience desirable; valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- Basic computer skills and strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work as part of a team and on-call availability.
Hourly rate: $20.00 – $22.00 (Minnesota). Salary may vary based on skills, experience, and comparison to other employees.
Additional InformationSalary and benefits are aligned to the geographic location and may vary based on skills and experience. This role is full-time and requires knowledge of general maintenance trades and proficiency in using hand and power tools, blueprints and specifications, and safety procedures.
