Based in St. Cloud, MN | Approximately 60% Travel

If you're an experienced TIG welder looking to get out of the shop and build a career in industrial field work, this opportunity offers something different.
Join a team that services power plants, substations, and critical electrical infrastructure across the United States. You'll perform precision TIG welding while learning a highly specialized trade through a paid apprenticeship. Every project is different, travel expenses are fully covered, and you'll work alongside experienced craftsmen on some of the country's most important power generation facilities.
What You'll Do:
- Perform precision TIG welding on aluminum, stainless steel, copper, and carbon steel
- Weld aluminum pipe in horizontal and vertical positions
- Read blueprints, welding procedures, and technical drawings
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair work in power generation and industrial facilities
- Learn to inspect, repair, and install electrical bus duct systems through EBI's apprenticeship program
- Travel throughout the United States approximately 60% of the year
- Maintain the highest standards of quality and safety while working in critical infrastructure environments
- $27.00/hr during paid training (non-union)
- $35.10/hr after successful completion of training and union affiliation
- Daily per diem while traveling

- Paid 3-Year Bus Duct Technician Apprenticeship

- 1+ years of TIG welding experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Experience welding aluminum and/or stainless steel
- Experience reading blueprints and welding procedures
- Background in industrial fabrication, process piping, pressure vessels, food-grade fabrication, aerospace, marine, or custom fabrication preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Comfortable working at heights and in industrial environments
- Willing to travel approximately 60%
- Valid Driver's License
- Real Passport
- OSHA 10 Certification
- Pass a background check
- Pass a drug screen (including marijuana)
- Pass a DOT physical and pre-placement medical exam
- Ability to obtain unescorted access to nuclear power generation facilities
