The HVAC Diagnostic Technician specializes in identifying, troubleshooting, and diagnosing issues in residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. This role is critical in determining the root cause of equipment failures, optimizing system performance, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Technicians use advanced diagnostic tools, electrical and mechanical testing equipment, and performance monitoring instruments to detect system malfunctions. Responsibilities include analyzing system performance, inspecting components, recommending repair solutions, and collaborating with service technicians to implement repairs. Accurate reporting and documentation are required for all diagnostics performed.

Candidates must demonstrate strong technical expertise, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, refrigeration cycles, airflow dynamics, and safety standards is essential. This role may involve customer interaction to explain findings, proposed repairs, and preventive maintenance recommendations.
