Location: St. Cloud

Description

As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, repair, and preventive maintenance of machinery, equipment, and systems used in production. They troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, request parts, perform routine inspections, and work to minimize downtime while ensuring safety and efficiency. The maintenance technician collaborates with outside technicians and production teams to support continuous operations and may also be involved in equipment upgrades or installations.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities
  • Tool maintenance and repair (electric, air, and manual tools)
  • Lifting equipment maintenance and repair (clamps, slings, hoists, jibs, etc.)
  • Forklift maintenance and repairs
  • Building maintenance and repair (dock plates, doors, lights, HVAC, air handling, air lines, plumbing, etc.)
  • Painting equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Large machinery maintenance and repairs (laser, press brake, CNC, etc.)
  • General electrical work that can be legally performed by a non-licensed individual
  • Perform lockout/tagout procedures when machines are being worked on
  • Organize and record repair and maintenance information, such as type, cost, and frequency, in spreadsheets and graphical form.
  • Request and order adequate and accurate parts.
  • Organize and/or perform daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly safety inspections (forklifts, fire extinguishers, carbon monoxide, etc.)
  • Inform and enforce safety protocol to outside contractors
  • Periodically meet with Safety Committee and communicate ideas to Management
  • Grounds work (lawn care, general cleaning, etc.)
  • Assist with new equipment installations and shop set up.
  • Assist production as required.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED (required); technical or vocational training preferred.
  • Proven experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools commonly used in maintenance work.
  • Forklift and hoist experience.
  • Basic computer skills for maintenance software and reporting.
  • Understanding of safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, or on-call as needed.
  • Certification in industrial maintenance (e.g., HVAC, PLC, welding) is a plus.

  • Mechanical Aptitude – Ability to understand and work with machinery and mechanical systems.
  • Electrical Knowledge – Skills in diagnosing and repairing electrical components and systems.
  • Troubleshooting – Quickly identifying and resolving equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Attention to Detail – Ensuring accuracy in repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Safety Awareness – Following safety procedures and recognizing potential hazards.
  • Time Management – Prioritizing tasks and working efficiently under time constraints.
  • Communication – Clearly conveying issues and updates to supervisors and team members.
  • Teamwork – Working effectively with other technicians, engineers, and production staff.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (often up to 75 lbs or more).
  • Standing, walking, and bending for extended periods of time.
  • Climbing ladders or stairs and working at heights or in confined spaces.
  • Manual dexterity to handle tools and small parts with precision.
  • Good vision and hearing to detect issues and follow safety signals.
  • Stamina and physical endurance to work in hot, cold, noisy, or dusty environments.
  • Flexibility and mobility to kneel, crouch, reach, and twist as needed.
  • Ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and respirators.

Pay: $28.25

Hours:

6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday. Fridays 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
