Pressure Washer/Steam Cleaner Service Technician

We are looking for a hard-working, self-motivated service technician to join our growing staff. The individual in this role will be responsible for fixing equipment for our customers in-house and mobile repair at customer sites.

• Service technicians are responsible for diagnosing and repairing all types of pressure washing systems. Systems range from cold water portable small gas engine systems all the way to stationary natural gas systems with pipelines and multiple drops for spraying locations. Technicians are responsible for start to finish repairs while documenting the repair process and parts used. Our technicians at times responsible for direct communication with the customer and may need to explain the repair process and or sell parts or new equipment.
• We are a small company that services a big portion of the area’s pressure washer industry. This requires all our employees at times to wear different hats of American pressure. We expect all employees to help other departments when needed. We currently have 18 Employees, including 7 in the service department.

• Be comfortable with face-to-face conversations with the customer and explain repair services.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic/fluid systems
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems and components. (AC and DC)
• Diagnose and repair fuel oil burner systems.
• Diagnose and repair natural gas and propane burner systems.
• Perform PM services on units.
• Diagnose and repair small engines
• Document and record repair process using a work order system.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Be able to react to high priority repairs and schedule changes.
• Be able to work full time on a set schedule.
• Operate a forklift when required.
• Provide their own basic tools. American pressure will provide specialty tools.

• High school diploma, or equivalent
• Critical-thinker, problem-solver
• Strong verbal communication skills, ability to explain complex issues with customers in a way they understand is a plus.
• Must hold state driver’s license insurable for driving company vehicles.
• Must be punctual and adhere to a daily schedule with multiple appointments in different locations.

• Community college or vocational school technical program (HVAC, electrical, auto repair ext.) or two years’ work experience in pressure washer, HVAC, auto repair or other similar field a plus.
