What We’re Looking For:INH Properties is seeking a full-time, mid-level experienced Maintenance Technician/Painter that will take pride in making our apartment community a great place to live!
Job Responsibilities:(Including but not limited to)
When joining our team, you will play an important role by owning the following tasks:
Maintenance Technician- Communicating professionally with residents when fulfilling maintenance requests
- Grounds upkeep and snow removal
- Janitorial to keep our community looking impeccable
- Responding to work orders in a timely manner
- Work as a team to ensure apartments are ready for all move-ins and maintain our communities to the highest standard
- Cleaning/Maintaining common areas
- Interior painting
- All other duties required to create a great living environment for our residents
- Communicating with the community manager to determine painting requirements
- Operate equipment such as airless spray equipment, scaffolding, paint brushes/rollers etc.
- Covering trim, floors, furniture and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths and other protective coverings to keep them free of paint
- Preparing surfaces to be painted by washing them, filling holes and cracks with putty and sanding them until they’re smooth
- Applying primer and other sealers to paint surfaces to ensure that paint sticks to them
- Mixing and matching paint, stain and other finishes to job specifications
- Applying paint, stain and other finishes to paint surfaces using paintbrushes, rollers or sprayers
- Maintaining an inventory of supplies like paint brushes, rollers and tarps
- Removing and reinstalling fixtures (e.g., doorknobs, electric switch covers) as necessary
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A valid Driver’s License
- Previous experience with painting
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Dry walling including painting and carpentry
- Working knowledge of light plumbing and electrical including outlets, switches and light fixtures
- Experience in multi-family housing
- Boilers knowledge is strongly preferred
- Boilers License or a willingness to get one
- HVAC certification strongly preferred
- This position will cover our properties in St. Cloud, MN.
