On Call Van Driver

Primary responsibility is to safely transport guests to and from the local destinations in a friendly and courteous manner. This position also provides information to guests.

• Must have the ability to provide professional and courteous guest service.
• Must have good time management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must have good organizational skills and have the ability to multitask.
• Must have the ability to understand and follow verbal/written instructions and communicate both verbally and in writing.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 21 years of age and hold a valid driver’s license with no accidents or driving violations within the last 12 months.
• Chauffer’s endorsement or CDL preferred but not required.

• Assists all guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ensures guests are greeted upon arrival and interacts effectively with guests. Responds appropriately to guest complaints and solicits feedback.
• Professionally and competently operates the shuttle according to brand standards while adhering to all applicable traffic laws.
• Fills out all required logs and completes safety checks of the shuttle. Ensures that there is gas in the shuttle and that it is clean and presentable for guests.
• Maintains knowledge of the hotel as well as area services and facilities to effectively assist guests.
• When not transporting guests, ground keeping, light cleaning of guest public areas and/or laundry duties are expected to be completed.
• Acquires working knowledge of property and all facilities to respond to guest questions effectively.
• Understands and applies all hotel safety and security procedures as required to maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and guests.
• Keeps supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention so prompt corrective action can be taken.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

This position offers an estimated compensation of least $14 - $16 per hour. The role features a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends. Benefits include Minnesota Earned Sick and Safe Time (MN ESST) and 401(k) opportunities upon meeting eligibility criteria.

The Van Driver works indoors and outdoors on a regular basis. This position requires continuous driving and sitting as required to transport guests, as well as frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending and reaching throughout entire shift. Hazards may include, but are not limited to, possible motor vehicle accidents, slipping and tripping, frequent exposure to petroleum products and exposure to variable temperatures and weather elements.
