Key Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of trucks safely and efficiently
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment
- Conduct vehicle inspections to maintain safety and compliance
- Follow routes and delivery schedules accurately
- Maintain delivery logs and documentation
- Secure cargo during transit
- Communicate effectively with dispatch
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks
- Ensure adherence to transportation laws and safety standards
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience with freight delivery across various vehicle types
- Valid CDL with relevant endorsements
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
- Knowledge of load/unload procedures and safety standards
- Familiarity with handling specialized freight, including refrigerated goods or hazardous materials, is advantageous
- Strong driving record and adherence to safety regulations
