Is the Social Media Content Creator position a good fit for you?!
Social Media Content Creator (Field-Based) – Roofing + Construction Industry Full-Time | Based in Windsor, WI | Travel Required (Madison & Milwaukee Markets)

Brookens Construction is looking for a creative, organized, and social-savvy Content Creator to help grow one of the fastest-rising brands in construction. This role is perfect for someone who understands how to capture attention on social media and turn real moments into compelling stories—both visually and through strong, strategic writing.

You’ll help plan and execute a steady stream of content that showcases the people, projects, and culture that make Brookens different. Whether you’re snapping photos on a jobsite, designing graphics for a campaign, or hopping on IG stories for a quick update—your work will help bring our brand to life online.

You’ll collaborate with the marketing manager, media team, and field crews to create content that’s aligned with company goals, organized for future use, and optimized for performance. We’re looking for someone who’s confident, adaptable, and ready to take creative ownership.

This is a full-time role with a generally consistent schedule, but flexibility is expected during peak season. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required to capture content during company events, key builds, or project milestones. You’ll need to be available when and where the work is happening to make sure nothing important gets missed.

What You’ll Do (In-Season):

  • Capture content in the field, including photos, short-form videos, interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage
  • Help build and maintain a rolling content calendar aligned with key campaigns, events, and seasonal moments
  • Write engaging captions, headlines, and short-form copy for social posts, reels, and videos—always aligned with our brand voice and tone
  • Show up on camera when needed for walkthroughs, jobsite recaps, or team features
  • Organize and archive content with consistent naming, folder structure, and team-wide accessibility
  • Design branded visuals and graphics that support marketing initiatives and elevate our social presence
  • Collaborate with sales reps, production crews, and customers to capture key milestones and stories
  • Apply basic SEO practices to improve the visibility of content across platforms
  • Track basic performance metrics (views, likes, shares, etc.) to help guide future content direction
  • Travel to job sites in Madison and Milwaukee as needed
  • Stay current on trends, audio, and social formats to keep content fresh and relevant

️ What You’ll Do (Off-Season/Winter):

  • Develop and implement a blog strategy to support off-season visibility, lead nurturing, and SEO growth—including optimizing H1s, image metadata, and internal links
  • Organize and optimize our content library, tagging and archiving key assets for future reuse and campaign development
  • Build evergreen creative assets such as FAQs, customer testimonials, brand explainers, and education-focused content for use in future marketing cycles
  • Create reusable templates and ad-ready graphics to support paid campaigns and organic content during ramp-up season
  • Collaborate on internal content for recruiting, team training, and company culture initiatives
  • Conduct trend research and competitive audits, compiling social trends, emerging formats, and standout competitor campaigns to inform our content planning
  • Lead development of educational content series that helps pre-educate future leads—topics like insurance basics, signs of damage, contractor red flags, or “how to prep for spring inspections”

What You Bring:

  • 1–3+ years of real-world content creation experience (bonus if in a brand or field-based setting)
  • Strong writing and editing skills—you can craft clear, compelling copy that reflects brand voice, engages readers, and drives action
  • Versatility across formats—confident writing everything from quick captions and hooky reels to blog posts, FAQs, and landing page content
  • Confidence and creativity—comfortable both behind and in front of the camera
  • Solid understanding of mobile editing tools (Cap Cut, Adobe Rush, InShot, etc.)
  • Proficiency in graphic design using…
